Palm Grove

Posted by Alan Street on Apr 15, 2011

I've lived here for the last 18 months, and I generally agree with all of the proceeding reviews. It's a beautiful property, the units are large and well made. The top floor units have roof gardens, which is very nice. There have been some problems with flooding due to inadequate drainage, but a number of units have had the drain holes enlarged, which has helped.

The only a couple of downsides to this property, and these are minor. It's a 12~15 minute walk to the Kovan MRT, and there are no bus stops any closer. The premium bus service mentioned below has been canceled due to poor ridership, and it's unlikely that any service like this will ever be financially viable. If you don't have a vehicle you will find yourself calling a cab fairly often. The second isn't necessarily a downside for everyone, but there are a lot of families with small children, and the place can get pretty raucous on the weekends with swimming lessons in the morning and birthday parties in the afternoon. For families with small children, I think this place is excellent, and to be fair, this is only on the weekends. Last night I came home to someone playing their piano, and it was very pleasant to stroll by the pool on the way to the lift.
I recommend this building for: Families with Children, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

A Sanctuary in the Heartlands

Posted by Jenne Shin on Apr 15, 2010

Our first impression of this condo was a lasting one since it soon became our benchmark condo for every other condo we viewed after it. This is a genuine sign of the high quality and excellent architectural design this condo offers. The functional space in these units fit perfectly for buyers who are more akin to spacious / non-shoe-box living. The patio units offer a beautiful entertaining area for BBQs and outdoor dining. Apart from the 12min stroll to Kovan MRT, there is nothing we could fault in this beautiful lush resort-like condo. It is a jewel away from the bustle of this growing city. We highly recommend a viewing at Palm Grove condo so you can see for yourself.
I recommend this building for: Families with Children, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

Resort Style Condo

Posted by Natts Tan on Feb 2, 2010

Among so many condos visited, I found Palm Grove to be most enchanting. I visited a few units and what I find rare these days is that Palm Grove has larger than average bedroom sizes. With its palm trees (hence the name palm grove), exceptional landscaping and overall upkeep of the compound, staying there is like perpetually staying in a holiday resort. This condominium should appeal to those who like to live among low-rise, private and serene vicinities. A premium bus service also stops right at the condo entrance and this improves the accessibility if you don't drive. It is also of walking distance to Kovan MRT / Heartland Mall and a couple of bus stops away from Serangoon Central / new NEX Mall.
I recommend this building for: Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

Beautiful ambient

Posted by B K Chan on Nov 28, 2009

I have visited many condos and never have I seen one which has so cosy and warm ambient like the Palm Grove Condo. It is designed as a resort condo with a unique layout of a pool and common-use area lying in a valley surrounded by all the residential units sprawling over the ridges of surrounding hills. It gives off a very relaxing feeling for one who stands at the pool site overlooking the sky and the surrounding terrain. The pool is surrounded with high resort-style walls and a lustre of greenery in an open space. One part of the pool is accessible from a staircase which runs right into the water. A barbecue stove besides the pool adds to the resort ambient.
I recommend this building for: Families with Children, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

Palm Grove Condo

Posted by Chiu Ling Yee on Nov 19, 2008

Palm Grove Condo is ideal for families with children, walking distance to Kovan Mrt and to Heartland mall. The peaceful surroundings is best for people working in the city as residents will look forward to go home and unwind. Families with children can enrol their children to popular schools like Parry Primary School, school by the garden for childcare services etc. Motorists will like this location as they can take either CTE or drive along serangoon road to city. All in all, this is an ideal place for living.
I recommend this building for: Families with Children and Peace & Quiet.
