Poorly maintained

It was supposed to be a lovely small condo but not until it was handed over to a new managing agent in May'11 and the service was BAD
- the cleaner set up majong table at the carpark creating loud noise even allowing outsiders to park inside the carpark
- poor security as outsiders can enter the premise now
- the facilities are occupied more often by the workers at the law firm and cleaners than the residents
- the law firm staff even questioned our guests' identities when they were at the rooftop garden area..totally uncalled for
- feedback to MCST but no action taken..the place now is like a "worker paradise" if unmonitor closely
- very poor managing agent service, always give excuses like "we just take over,no record given from previous MA" whenever a request was made I recommend this building for: City Living.

the building is ageing fast and poorly run by current MA. Many times the rooftop is infested with insects due to left over parties food not clear & clean timely
MA response also very slow
Too noisy from both car traffic and human noise heard along Jalan Masjid. The shops along it can be very noisy at times. No view, block by neighbourng condos. Only suitable for busy expat, i think. For those work & rest at home OFTEN, may consider other places nearby but not along Jalan Masjid, too noisy here..i left after 1 yr tenancy I recommend this building for: Western Expats and Asian Expats.
MA response also very slow

From Tenant to Buyer

I rented a neighouring condo for 2 years before decided on D"Gallery. It was a good buy due to its close proximity to MRT (2mins walk) and easy access to many eateries along Changi Road. My closed friends from uni days like to dropby weekends and we rent bicycles at Telok Kurau park (4mins walk) and have a fun trip to East Coast beach.. This is a safe & convenient place for singles, families and professional expats to live happily and recreation.
I did not like the building color tone initially and consider other nearby condos which are more hype. But after visiting the unit internally, its amenities, price and people, we decided at DGallery., it is the internal substance that counts!
Hopefully management should replace the exterior building green color tone with lighter color tone to make the building newer and hype! I recommend this building for: City Living, Outdoors & Activities, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige, Students, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

Convenience and spacious rooftop facilities

D"Gallery is a very small project, only 21 units in this 5storey building. Very convenient and safe for foreigner as it took me less than 2mins to walk across the Kembangan MRT. You can't ask for more with a generous rooftop space for recreation and privacy in a boutique condo in land scare Singapore. Just renewed my tenancy for another 2 yrs as i noted the noise from the opposite new condo completed in March'11...it was very noisy for the past 1 year as my unit is facing directly opposite the new condo. Surprisingly the 1bedroom i rented came with generous size for the bedroom (can accomodate a king size bed) and toilet (dressing area plus bath tub)
The people here are mainly couples, singles and working professionals...so you don't hear much children shouting or screaming as compared to BIG CONDOS..The mentality is like "you mind your own biz"..
Underated - developer was bold to engage a well known artist to hand-made a huge sculpture on the 2nd floor but should have put more emphasis in it. It should brighten the area more at night. This lovely hand-made sculpture looks more like a "BIG ROCK" at night..Thought for improvements! I recommend this building for: City Living, Outdoors & Activities, Peace & Quiet and Western Expats.

Unpolished Diamond!

I could not agree more w the earlier comment made by Josi. I rented a 2bedroom unit at D'Gallery for 2.5years (owner stay in now) and recently move out to a another 2bedroom condo at Telok Kurau. Though the current TK condo is supposed to be a 2bedder, but the living hall & rooms are almost half the size compared to DGallery. Now i realized how spacious and a luxury to have a reasonable sized toilet attached with bath tub at D'Gallery. It is miserably small in my current condo..
I still missed the privacy, quietness and convenience offered at D'Gallery. It is so near to MRT, just cross 1 traffic light. Especially for us expatriates, we find this place safe and very convenient.
I also missed the spacious rooftop facilities offered at D"Gallery, it can easily accomodate 30-50 of my foreign friends with all tables, chairs and barbeque facilities provided. It is also very windy, quiet and exclusive to have a quiet reading time at the rooftop during the weekdays evening..7Eleven is a stone throw away and is 24hrs.
Yes, the developer can do more with the space at every floor but the residents are happy as it has more air space in the building and make the whole buidling breezy. It is rare to find a boutique condo with such space nowadays, especially if I compared this with those at Telok Kurau condos. I recommend this building for: City Living, Outdoors & Activities, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige, Students, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

Excellent boutique condo!

Stayed here more than 2 yrs, here are the good inputs:
From outside it looks like office apartment with messy small lane crowded with shops..Surprisingly, when inside e lift is airconditioned, very comfortable feeling. Spacious room w plenty of air ventilation unlike Telok Kurau mickey mouse projects nearby..
I love the spacious rooftop facilities most. Impressive w lap pool and jacuzzi pool. Spacious barbeque area with tables & chairs provided..ideal for holding coy funtion too!
I like the Telok Kurau park which links to East Coast Parkway beach..From here, i walk to the TK park only 3mins.
Just 2mins walk to MRT. This is really a gem, freehold boutique condo..
Area room for improvements:
Too many air well spaces unused, should utilized it more within the building..Construction nearby nosiy past 2years, bliss should return by April'11. I recommend this building for: City Living, Outdoors & Activities, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige and Western Expats.
