Peaceful, Convenient, Value For Money

Chestervale is one development that stands out for it's generous size units, and with very low and attractive price.
Huge price difference can be seen between Chestervale and new project Foresque Residences at Petir Rd, albeit one is modern day design with questionable practicality.
Several new important amenities and facilites are in the pipeline in the vicinity of Bukit Panjang. Downtown Line 2 (DTL2) will bring greater convenience to residents living in Bukit Panjang, taking them directly to city areas such as Orchard Road and Clarke Quay. DTL2 also offers commuters significant time savings. e.g. the current one-hour journey from Bukit Panjang to the city centre will be reduced by a third - to approximately 40 minutes.
Another key new facilities will be a new market cum food centre in Bukit Panjang.
One can also unwind and enjoy at the newly Senja-Cashew Community Club, the first fully integrated CC and sports complex.
To get close to nature and enjoy abundance fresh air, there is a good size park just across the development.
Chestervale is value for money. I recommend this building for: City Living, Outdoors & Activities, Families with Children, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige, Students, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

Good sized condo for families

Hunting Condo around CCK/Bukit Batok/Bukit Panjang and Chestervale is on our shortlist.
Price seems to be stabilizing and there are a few 800+K units lower floors and/or less ideal facing units and 900+K higher and better facing/pool facing units.
Nice condominium for families. There are no 2 bedder in this development and the units are large (compared to newer ones) and bedrooms are kitchen are good sized. 50m pool (the one at Mayspring very small) and not crowded even on weekends evening when we do go a visit (unlike Floravale). Nearby amenities (coffee shops, bank/atm, 24 shop and save walkign distance and there is a park opposite. (did not know that before my viewings)
Near BKE, and direct expressway buses to town. Upcoming downtown MRT and LRT station is nearby.
Shortlisted Chestervale for the good schools also as my daughter is going to P1 in 1 and half years. 1km to Beacon Pri and under 2km to CHIJ. I recommend this building for: Families with Children and Peace & Quiet.

Ridiculous price

1. The condo design is below average especially the swimming pool.
2. Very far from the nearest MRT.
3. Breaking record price exceeding 1 million dollar for a 3 bedroom unit, over price!
4. Might as well consider other condos include The dew, maysprings, the linear, windermere, quintet... or even the new EC project in bukit panjang! I recommend this building for:

Affordable with nearby access to shops

Pros - walking distance to amenities (2 banks, childcare, shops, LRT, express public transport to town, park). Facilities well maintained for 10 yr estate.
Cons - typical of 10 yr old estate, needs to spruce up its image.
Understand that a series of upgrade has been planned now that it has been privatised.
One of remaining private estate that provides convenience and yet affordable. I recommend this building for: Outdoors & Activities, Families with Children and Peace & Quiet.

Nice Condo with plenty of space

Nice condominium especially for families. The positive side is, unlike the new developments thest days, this condo has plenty of space everywhere, above ground and underground carpark, wide alleys, spacious lift lobbies.
Individual aparments do not share walls, i.e. each apartment is a corner apartment giving you more privacy. Right in front of the main entrance is a park, with jogging track, children play area. The condo has a huge swimming pool in addition to the club house, tennis courts etc. Great access to the BKE, if you board a bus in the direction of city right after you board it from Bangkit road, the bus will hop on the expressway reducing the travel time considerably.
With Bangkit LRT right behind the development, the future construction of Downtown line station at Bukit Panjang Road will improve the accessibility even further.
Overall its the right place for you and good value for the money, if you prefer peaceful and quite neighbourhood, with ample space for your family, and good access to the city. I recommend this building for: Outdoors & Activities, Families with Children, Peace & Quiet, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

A place for family

This may not be the most popular condo but it has features that a young family would appreciate. It is a self sufficient, value for money property considering a few things that surrounds it - its busy and dynamic authentic shopping street behind the property, a great jogging and cycling park in front of it, multiple coffeeshops, a Shop n Save, nearby schools, the LRT and convenient buses that zooms you to town within 20 min during non peak period. Its just next to the BKE. The property itself is not crowded so you can get your chance to enjoy the facilities (tennis, pool, function room, etc). It's really a place for those who likes living in an undisturbed environment yet able to access food and conveniences within walking distance.
I recommend this building for:
Families with Children,
Peace & Quiet and
Asian Expats.
