My first impression of Cairnhill Heights is very positive. Driving up the side road off Cairnhill, past the looming new condominiums, one is pleasantly greeted by a well-built and pristine structure within a private enclosure of ample carpark spaces.
The circular lines of the spiralling block of apartments sit well against the skyline at the peak of the Cairnhill incline. In the light of the very high end buildings emerging in its vicinity, it is obvious that enbloc potential is high. It will be a pity though from an aesthetic viewpoint to lose this boutique-like development. Would anyone consider preservation instead?

About Cairnhill Rise
Location: Although on the map, its close to Paragon & Centrepoint, its a good 10-15 mins walk to both places (depending on how fast you walk). There is an Art School next to Cairnhill Heights which provides a shortcut to Newton MRT (about 10mins walk too). However, the gates of the Art School is usually opening during working hours, sometimes till 8/9pm at night. On weekends, the place is a complete chaos because all the inconsiderate & kiasu parents will be parking their cars outside the school, blocking your entrance to the apartment.
Peace & Quiet: The place appear to be secluded because its in the middle of nowhere, while near to Orchard. However, do note that there are a lot of birds singing at dawn and in the middle of the night. It is almost impossible to sleep at times because of the sound. On weekends, there are alot of surrounding constructions as well. I tried calling the government environment services and informing the property management but there is nothing they can do.
There are about 20 units in the block, mostly rental units. Most tenants are not paying more than $3K for the place so don't be misled by the agent. And yes, I am moving out of the place when my lease is up. It is impossible to sleep at night unless you are completely exhausted that you can sleep though regardless of the birds' singing at night.
