Family living with good facilities

Posted by PGan on Aug 30, 2011

The development is undergoing major repainting work to freshen up the place! Residents in the development are generally relaxed and enjoy the great facilities and open space in the development. This is now 6 years old compared to newer developments like Clementiwoods, Varsity Park, Stellar and Parc (further down) but is readily accessible from mainroad although West Coast is seriously lacking in term of MRT and/or LRT links! Spacious site layout like Blue Horizon is getting rare these days as the site next to it is cut into two sites for development.
I recommend this building for: Outdoors & Activities, Families with Children, Peace & Quiet, Western Expats and Asian Expats.

Very popular with Expats

Posted by JT on Mar 21, 2011

A full facilities development with 3 tennis courts and medium sized rooms which is suitable for investment or own-stay. This is a very family-oriented locale that is sandwiched by West Coast Park and Clementiwoods and many schools (both local and international). Other than developments along East Coast Parkway fronting the sea that are that minutes drive downtown, West Coast is the next one.

Most units have sea, pool or greenery views. Units facing The Vision will have some views as the lap pool separates the two developments.

Noise for sea view units

Posted by Peter on Feb 3, 2011

I was interested in a unit and visited the development on a number of occasions.

The sea view units have evening sun and high level of road noise. I counted 40 container trucks and lorries over a five minute span on a Sunday afternoon....

Those units that face the Japanese school is probably the best stack with unblock view and some sea view but I am not sure if there is band practice on Saturdays....

view or noise?

Posted by bmundi on Jan 10, 2011

went a few times to see some apartments that are sea-facing....very practical layout, the view is definitely stunning however will have to put up with the noise coming from container trucks running along west coast highway and the afternoon sun.

unless of course you are prepared to keep windows closed
most of the time to keep out the noise.

the location is quite accessible, and with a 24-hour MacDonald's will be always great with kids.

away from the usual maddening crowd

Posted by Ray Cunningham on Dec 8, 2010

Eyeing this condo for sometime.I have not seen too many condos with a sea view except for some in the east and that seems to be the strongest selling point of this place coupled with the park recreation it offers.Good location. There is a general feeling of friendliness whenever we visit there that I like, just my two cents.

BLUE HORIZON

Posted by I.M. on Sep 10, 2010

Great condo for family living.

But why choose BH over other FH development nearby?

#1: A lot of condos in the west boast unblock view...but how many can claim sea view right in front of a 24 hour MacDonald? Put it this way, do you think this value will erode or appreciate over time in land scarce Singapore?

Imagine coming home to face the sea, looking at the boats and staring into the horizon...

#2: Amenities galore...just think of education

- NUS
- NUS Town
- NUS High School
- Ngee Ann Poly
- Singapore Poly
- Science Park 1 & 2
- NUH
- Japanese High School
- International Community School
- SIM - Singapore Institute of Management

#3: Think West Coast Plaza, 5 mins drive to Vivo City...wet market, West Coast Park, Clementi Park

#4: If location is key, try location with a view!

Spectacular

Posted by Gary Huddle on Sep 9, 2010

Brilliant location, near two parks less than 100 mts away, some of the lucky units have full sea view, near the upcoming west side business area in jurong, what more can you wish for. There is some noise from the expressway but its no more than what you hear from most locations in this country unless you live in some deserted( read ulu areas) in singapore.

Great location with beautiful view

Posted by Ng muicheng on Apr 22, 2010

Beautiful seaview with the Singapore Yacht Club in sight.. AND the West Coast Park just beside... truly a beautiful blend of natural blues & greens.

Nice breezy wind & in the evening, u see kites flying even higher than this tall building. I have no regrets paying a little abv valuation for this location!

I hope the govt's plan to develop this place similar to the East coast will materialise soon, so that all the good local food will be here too.

The only minus point: only 99-year lease.

Decent gym, nice garden but poor interiors

Posted by ready to move on Feb 11, 2010

MInus:
Ceilings are low.
Finishes (floor, wardrobes) are not of a good quality.
Heaters are gas, not electric.
Bedrooms v small. Not really for Western expats and not luxurious.
Maintenance is so-so. Some clogged drains and children's playground surface is broken.
Plus:
Nice (but small) plots for residents to plant & grow.
Near park and West Coast Plaza
Decent gym

Very prime location with high rental

Posted by Zester on Nov 15, 2009

This is one of the the best condo I have come across in terms of layout, nearby facilities and location. The west coast park is juz road across and we have the greenery park surrounded. Moroever is walking distance to west coast market and West coast plaza. This condo has full facilities include gym, multi pool and even an aircon rest & relax study room. I have not find any condo in the west that can match Blue Horizon.

Seaview at affordable price

Posted by Justin lee on Nov 19, 2008

A seaview unit 1173sqft costing just 800K ?!

This is what i call a million dollar view minus the million, not to mention the potential enbloc value.

Leasehold 99+ Seaview+ current location.
