Why the Aalto
Posted by Clinton Yew on Nov 4, 2010
This development's fixtures and finishings are top class when you consider the surrounding developments such as One Amber, or even Seafront on Mayer. The provision of small little extras like wine cellars as standard fittings in the kitchen is reflective of the target audience of this development, namely those who understand the value of paying for a higher quality of life.
There is only one word to describe the sea view here. Majestic. Most of the three bedders would enjoy a good sea view above the 12th story, while many of the four bedders would be able to see the ocean from the 7th story onwards.
You may have to put up with a bit of noise from the roads for some of the units. But that's par for the course when you consider many of the sea front developments along the East Coast. Also, it's practically quiet once you close the windows. A testament to the quality construction.
Transport is good, though you may have to walk a little to get to the bus stops along Mountbatten Road. There is even a busstop right at the doorstep that is served by a premium bus service, service 566, a direct service to the CBD that runs once every weekday. If you drive, it's less than 5 minutes to the city. The neigjbouthood boasts of a beach just an underpass away, and the famous eateries in the Katong area. I recommend this building for: Outdoors & Activities, Families with Children, Peace & Quiet, Luxury & Prestige, Western Expats and Asian Expats.
