Hi, I notice many buyers interested in property in the east SPECIFY that they do not want areas within Joo Chiat, Joo Chiat Place, Telok Kurau. Why is this so? The other thing is, shouldn't areas such as Joo Chiat, Joo Chiat Place, Telok Kurau, Haig Rd enjoy very good upside potential as a spillover effect from the craze over the east coast/siglap/marine parade area? Or is location very well defined i.e the latter few sites are the areas near the beach, so even though joo chiat, telok kurau is just minutes drive down is still too far away and not ideal? Hi Saw a walk-up apartment at Haig rd. Small development and has only 9 units in total. They are asking for $850psf. Total space about 784sqft The place is relatively old as well. So i may need to pump in $20-25k for renovation before staying in. My questions are : i) Is the unit worth the $? ii) Is it true that it would be more difficult to sell walk-up apts in the future? iii) The yield/investment value of walk-ups is low and not an investment asset? Thanks.
