I have been thinking whether to buy a Penthouse or a 3 storey Terrace. My family like to have a roof top or a big balcony. Any 2 or 3 bedrooms Penthouse @ West area selling S$700K to S$800K? I have viewed a few units of Villa Verde Terrace @ Choa Chu Kang pricing between S$920K to S$950K and I have short-listed one which me and my family love it. Reason for holding back the buying:- 99 years leasehold and already 9 years old, will depreciate few years later we are only a small family of 3 don't feel secure as it can be break-in easily when we travel fearful of pest, open drainage in the kitchen climbing to 3rd level master bedroom can be quite killing if rushing for time Advantages:- I like the front yard where I can park my car big master bedroom with a balcony & a nice house

I am thinking of looking for a freehold condo in pasir panjang but I need to fund the purchase by selling my HDB 5-room in choa chu kang. So do I look for buyer for my flat first or do I look a property to buy first? Should I get the same agent to do both transactions? If I look for something I like first and then get the agent to sell my flat, I am worried that I would be forced to sell my flat at a low price since time is not on my side (given that I have already paid the option fee for the new property) If I sell my flat and then rely on the agent to look for a suitable private property, my choice of my property will be limited by what the agent has and also I will need to get a unit fast since I will need to vacate from my HDB unit for the new owners. limited
