Hi I am trying to ascertain if I am in a financial position to buy a condo. I have just received my PR, so CPF = 0 Have savings of around 60K cash. I could borrow from credit card around 20K So net cash available for down payment(including all extra charges) = 80K Our family income is 10K per month. I would like to buy a 2 or 3 bedroom flat with budget 500-600K. Size atleast 950sqft. Location should be close to some MRT and within reasonable distance from city (we work in CBD). Preference would be North East / East I heard that banks are currently not giving any loan more than 80% for property purchase. Which complicates my situation as I am hoping for a 90% loan. What do gurus suggest ? Should I start looking at properties now with my current financial status, or wait sometime for my savings to increase and prices to fall a bit. Thanks

Hi, I am soon relocating to Singapore and am looking for either buying or renting property in Singapore (not decided yet whether I want to buy or rent). I will be working in the CBD area and thus will need you to be aware of the the following criteria: 1. Close to MRT stations; has to be with 5-6 MRT stations so max I can go out to will be Queenstown/Novena stations and Kembangan on East Coast. 2. I want a minimum size of 1200 sq ft and at least 2 bedrooms with a maids quarter. 3. Lookng at condos which have a swimming pool. 4. Should be well lit and no angular rooms. Tp give an idea of what I have liked so far, whcih would give an idea of what I am looking for. I interested in buying condo in CBD area around tanjong pagar (The clift)for investment. Current market price is around 1600 psf and wondering whether the price can still go up further? How is the rental demand in this area compare with District 09 orchard?
