Bought HDB back in 2001 for $298k (Simei St5), recent tranx around $400k. Mthly rental can fetch $2k+. Aiming private for own stay: Casa Merah. which mode is more wise? 1. sell HDB to reduce the interest payout to the private or 2. rent out HDB and use the rental for the private installation and "hope" for long-term appreciation of both. thks, SK

I intend to sell away ext'g 5-room flat to buy a new condo. I have interest in Casa Merah (Stk 27/47), however their TOP date is unknown. I thought it'll be better to sell my flat after TOP. What do you think? I need to minimize the temporary lodging.
