I'm currently looking to buy a 4 room resale HDB in Ang Mo Kio area. The problem is that my wife is a foreigner and own private property overseas (est. value SGD100k only). I intend to appeal to HDB to allow her to keep the oversea property as her mother needs to stay in that house overseas and the value of that property is not high anyway. I do not intend to take any HDB grants or HDB loans. Anyone knows the chances of such an appeal case? Should I appeal first or buy the flat first?

I am staying in a five room flat in Ang Mo Kio.I bought the flat for about $340k.I have paid around $300k for this flat and now I feel like downgrading to a 3 room flat around the same place as my five room flat.I would like to know if I can fully pay for the flat which I am buying using my CPF?
