Hi, currently looking for a private condo at west coast to buy and stay, about 105sqm. Budget 500K max. Any possibility? Also, is the private property market set to decrease further this year?

In which part of the west of Singapore you are looking for?

2+1 in term of $psf is the most chase after stock.So to find a good buy at $500K is a patience game which you have to locate by yourself or engage an agent on exclusive basis so that he is motivated and rewarded by you to commence the hunt. I hope it is not "a hunt for Red October" film show..Ha Ha

Well if you r looking into a condo with the budget of S$500K is very rare as this mayb by luck you can get one with 2bdrm and not new unless u hv to wait till the property market going down in the next few months. I do not have a condo in the location as I am currently serving the NE but just giving some advice. Firstly, 500k is quite low for a 2+1 in the NE. If you can get one, it may not be in a good location or the house may not be in a good condition. Whether the property prices will go lower or not, it is anyone's guess (think waiting for durian to drop). Why? The sellers are waiting for the right price while the buyers are waiting for the lowest possible price. This stalemate will only be broken when any one group gives in. But I think the prices will not drop very much as you can see from new launches that are not selling very low eventhough the take-up rate is low. So if you can wait, go for it. If not, then there is no better time than the present cause you only live once.
