Hi if i want to rent a hdb flat , do i need to pay agent commission? Do I need to pay stamping fee.. how much am i required to pay if the rent is $2k. Thanks Ms Lee

Hi Ms Lee,
If you are engaging an agent to assist you in renting your unit, it is a must that you have to pay the agent commission.
The standard commission is:
2 years lease - 1 month of rental commission + 7% GST
1 year lease - half month of rental commission + 7% GST
Stamp fee, TV Licence fee and utility/telephone bills are to be paid by tenants.
