Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will launch a high-end resort and branded residences at the Bodrum Peninsula in Turkey.
Offering panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, the Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum sits on a 60 ha waterfront site at Cennet Koyu (or Paradise Bay), and is slated to open in 2014. The resort features 20 suites and 82 exclusive guestrooms that boast the largest accommodation in the area, all fully furnished with terraces, sun-decks, infinity edged pools and private gardens.
The project also offers 214 luxury private homes to be named Residences at Mandarin Oriental, along the Turkish Riviera, also known as the Turquoise Coast.
The entire accommodation will feature 21st century contemporary style. The design elements will draw influence from the group’s oriental heritage, as well as the area’s local ancestry. Guest-centred technology and entertainment systems will be featured in the suites and guestrooms.
In addition, Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum will offer six bars and restaurants that include a stylish lobby lounge, al fresco waterside dining, a signature Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop and poolside bar. Other features are five additional function rooms and a 135-seat ballroom.
“We are delighted to extend Mandarin Oriental’s renowned levels of hospitality to Turkey and are looking forward to creating a luxurious hideaway on this culturally rich and stunning coastline,” said Edouard Ettedgui, Group Chief Executive at Mandarin Oriental said.
“We look forward to working with Mandarin Oriental on creating one of the most exclusive resorts in the Mediterranean region. The Turkish Riviera continues to grow in importance for upscale travellers,” said Vedat Asçi, Chairman at Astaş Real Estate Investments and Tourism A.Ş.
