Ms. Chia will occupy the position left by Tay Huey Ying, who will assume the role of consultant to the real estate firm.
The firm said that Ms. Chia has more than 14 years of experience in the property industry and her specialisation includes cross-sector market research, consultancy advisory and valuation.
She joined Colliers in 2005 as a manager in the Research and Advisory Department. Since then, she has taken various advisory assignments in real estate investment trusts, fund managers, public listed companies, property developers, financial institutions, government agencies and multinational corporations.
Before joining Colliers, Ms. Chia worked with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) where she assumed regional property consultancy work for famous clients, including Dairy Farm Group, Sime Darby, JTC Corporation, Singapore Tourism Board, United Engineers Limited and Standard Chartered Bank.
She has also worked with SIA Properties, Knight Frank and DTZ Debenham International.
Ms. Chia, 41, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Estate Management from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She is also a licensed appraiser.
