HDB launches three BTO projects

The Housing Development Board (HDB) has launched three Built-to-Order (BTO) projects — Fernvale Flora and Fernvale Gardens in Sengkang and Segar Vale in Bukit Panjang — offering a total of 1,593 standard flats.

HDB said 95 percent of the flat supply will be allocated for first-time home buyers.

Bounded by Fernvale Road and Sengkang West Way, Fernvale Flora is a standard contract with 521 flats, which comprise 93 two-room, 107 three-room and 321 four-room flats.

Fernvale Gardens, located along Fernvale Link, is also a standard contract with 382 flats, which comprise 210 four-room and 172 five-room flats.

Prices of units at Fernvale Flora and Fernvale Gardens range from S$88,000 to S$378,000 each.

Adam Tan, Corporate Communications Manager of PropNex, commented, “Both Sengkang sites are expected to be more popular, due to the fact that there are currently no three-room flats available in the estate. Buyers could also be enticed by the relatively low cost of the new flats, with three-room flats costing about S$170,500. With affordability in mind, both four-room and five-room flats cost about S$275,500 and S$344,000 respectively, which is about 25 percent to 30 percent cheaper than that of a resale flat within the same region.”

Meanwhile, Segar Vale, which is bounded by Bukit Panjang Ring Road and Segar Road, is a standard contract with 690 standard flats. These comprise 112 two-room, 112 three-room, 269 four-room and 197 five-room flats, with prices ranging from S$83,000 to S$354,000 each. Facilities in this project include shops, a supermarket, an eatery and a childcare centre.

Applications for the new flats will close on 14 March.
