Two new flyovers connecting traffic between the CTE and PIE will open next month.
On 3 December, the southbound CTE flyover towards the city will open from 3am, while the northbound flyover will open on 17 December from 6am.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said the opening of the two flyovers in phases aims to ensure a smooth transition to the new traffic scheme.
Around the same time, a 2.4 km Circle Line MRT extension, with two stations at Marina Bay and Bayfront, will open on 14 January 2012.
Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew announced this at the Downtown Line Stage 3 groundbreaking ceremony.
Comprising 16 stations, this stage of the Downtown Line connects residents in the East to the Marina Bay area and the CBD. To be fully operational in 2017, the new line will run through Bedok Reservoir, Bedok North and Ubi.
