With construction expected to begin by end-2011, the civil engineering company from China, which has also been involved in the construction of the Circle Line and the Downtown Line, will develop the Tuas Extension from Joo Koon station on the East-West Line.
The Tuas Extension will add 7.5 km of twin-tracks to the MRT line, a depot and four above-ground stations, including the Tuas, Tuas West, Tuas Crescent and Tuas Link stations.
