The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) announced the sale of a third white site at Marina View/Union Street yesterday.

The site was made available for application under the reserve list of the 2H 2011 Government Land Sales (GLS) programme.

The land parcel has a total area of 0.78 ha and a maximum allowable gross floor area (GFA) of 101,628 sq m.

While 70 percent of the maximum allowable GFA will be allocated for office use, the remaining GFA can be allocated for residential and other commercial uses, including hotel, retail and entertainment purposes.

Directly facing the proposed Central Linear Park, the site is expected to contribute to building up the critical mass of office space in the Marina Bay area.

Meanwhile, the first two white sites were sold in 2007 with Asia Square Tower 1 already occupying the first site.

Asia Square Tower 2, located on the second site, is still under construction.
