This win, together with its four other international FIABCI awards, means OUL qualifies to participate in the 2012 FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards, which is often referred to as the Oscars of architectural design.
“Duchess Residences make clever use of the undulating terrain to provide an unobstructed view yet offer exclusivity to the home units. The design has provided a variety of forms and structures in a physical environment filled with interesting landscaping and water features,” commented the judges from FIABCI Singapore.
Liam Wee Sin, President (Property) at UOL, said, “It is an honour for UOL to win this prestigious award by FIABCI. We look forward to competing with the very best in the international FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards 2012. Local developers winning international awards will put Singapore in the global spotlight for design excellence.”
The luxurious condominium project at Duchess Walk in Bukit Timah is a low-rise 120-unit development with various apartments, basement car parks, a swimming pool, gym and clubhouse.
Meanwhile, Wing Tai Land’s Belle Vue Residences also won the award for Residential (Low Rise), while Far East Organization’s Hillvista, Raffles Quay Asset Management’s Marina Bay Residences and Frasers Centrepoint’s St Thomas Suites took the awards in the Residential (High Rise) category.
