DBS Group has opened the DBS Asia Hub, a new state-of-the-art facility located at Changi Business Park.

The nine-storey building, which covers over 340,000 sq ft, houses most of the bank’s operations, technology and support functions.

It is also a home to over 3,000 or more than 40 percent of the Singapore-based staff of the bank.

The bank spent $1.5 billion over 10 years on the premises of the bank around the region, said Piyush Gupta, chief executive of DBS Group Holdings, adding that 20 percent of the amount was capital spending and the rest were lease rentals.

The bank invested a total of $200 million in the DBS Asia Hub, it said.
