Logistics manager Ramiah Suppiah tells Shuli Sudderuddin how he made the most of the space in his five-room flat.
Mr Ramiah Suppiah, 49
I love my home because...
Careful design, planning and thought went into making it modern yet functional.
It has all the necessary features and is a place to call home.
My decor theme is...
Natural with lots of wood. The living area was built with a combination of ceramic and parquet. The effect is cosy and comfortable.
A dining area was carved out from the kitchen area to bring the eating spaces together.
However, the spaces can be separated with a sliding feature wall if we want privacy when we eat and when we cook.
A storage area was designed behind a wooden panel which serves as a feature wall in the living area.
A study area was also carved out from the living area.
My favourite corner is...
The living area and study area.
We can lie on the wooden floor when we want to bond and spend quality time with the children and family members.
The study area allows us to interact closely with the children when they do their homework.
I'm most proud of...
The fact that a lot of thought, effort and discussion went into our collaboration with the designer from Image Creative.
Our children say they love the house and that's what is important at the end of the day.
Will you sell it?
I don't think so, unless someone makes me an offer I cannot refuse.
