THE Housing Board built barbecue pits barely metres away from residential units at Block 131, Clarence Lane.
The construction of the pits at this location is an extremely bad idea.
The National Environment Agency (NEA) has campaigns promoting clean air and smoke-free corridors and lift lobbies, yet smoke from barbecues, which is equally toxic, if not more so than cigarette smoke, is now polluting the homes or living areas of residents. It makes a mockery of NEA's healthy lifestyle campaign.
