The newly launched condo-style units of Parc Lumiere attract more and more buyers. With their drop down prices, people started to rush to the HDB project to get themselves a unit of their own. Each flat are priced just a shade below mass market condos in amounts not more than $500,000.According to property agents, the recession was the reason for condo-units such as Parc Lumiere and The Peak to lower their prices as much as below $500,000. Although, there are still some estates that have price a little over $500,000. The five-room units of Natura Loft are open for lease for $590,000 to $739,000 ($456 to $578 per square foot). Meanwhile, Peak Toa Payoh’s prices rose to $722,000.
These HDB flat also called Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) flat offers condo-style layouts and fittings. Natura Loft and Parc Lumiere provide elevated landscape decks and has a card-access security system found in all ground floor lobbies.
Samuel Lee, an account manager who bought a five-room flat at Parc Lumiere in Simei said the newly launched HDB project provided more than something of a regular HDB flat.
“Facilities-wise, it can't beat The Peak and Natura Loft,” Mr. Lee said, referring to two similar projects.
“It's the location. It is literally just across the road from my in-laws'.”
Though the country is under recession, people can still purchase the perfect home that they deserve, with or without the added extras. Developers and property managers are still willing to adjust this for the buyers, the market and the current situation.
